Getting Started with Sanctuary
Unboxing Sanctuary: Step by Step
Welcome to the beautiful, fragrant world our Sanctuary aromatherapy machine creates with our luxurious, odor eliminating fragrances. In this section we will walk you through unboxing our Retreat machine so you can start eliminating lingering and new odors in your home or workspace immediately.
1) The Sanctuary aromatherapy machine arrives fully assembled. When opening the box, please remove the Sanctuary machine carefully, and the additional items included: key, plug-in adapter, replacement parts, and wall mount hardware.
2) Choose your favorite Fragrance & Fur diffusion oil fragrance. Using the key to open the Sanctuary machine, remove the atomizer head and oil storage bottle. Twist the bottle counterclockwise to remove it from the atomizer head. The included fragrance oil storage bottle will hold up to 600ml of fragrance. Pour your chosen Fragrance & Fur fragrance oil into the bottle, not to exceed 600ml. When finished, screw the bottle back onto the atomizer head and place the entire part back into the Retreat machine and secure until fully locked in place. You are able to lock the Retreat machine's oil bottle and atomizer using the provided key.
*Do not exceed 600ml of Fragrance & Fur Odor Eliminating Fragrance
*Do not mix the oil with water.
3) Choose the location of where you would like to place your Retreat aromatherapy machine where it will not fall or be disturbed easily by children and pets. Choose an area that doesn't restrict the oil release. Plug the Retreat machine into the wall outlet firmly.
4) Retreat has manual operation and app operation. For manual mode, once the aromatherapy machine is plugged into the wall-outlet, turn the device on, using the switch button on the inside of the machine next to the oil bottle. Next, press the button above the power on button to activate radar mode. Radar mode has an automatic program that releases fragrance for 10 seconds and rests for 100 seconds for as long as movement is detected. To increase the working time for radar mode, you will need to increase the working time for radar mode in the app.
5) Retreat comes with screws and hanging plate for wall mounting the machine is preferred. Fix the two screws on the device and put the hanging plate to the screws, then remove the adhesive film and mount to wall.

Sanctuary - Manual Control Functions
Manual Control
This guide will walk you through setting up the Sanctuary aromatherapy machine scheduling the using manual control option. The Sanctuary allows for 24 hour controlled scenting and odor elimination in your pet-shared spaces according to your scheduled scenting preferences. The Sanctuary machine has a built in fan that allows for quick, entire space scenting allowing fragrance to travel farther faster. We hope you will love this machine as much as we do. It is beautiful in construction and a luxurious addition to your home.
Operation Introduction
The Retreat Radar Manual mode is a 24 hour program that works around the clock and only when motion is detected. Once the machine is in manual control radar mode, the machine will continue to operate on radar mode until you would like to switch to app mode.
Turning on Manual Radar Mode
The mode switch button is the button located above the power button. To turn on manual control radar mode, short press the mode switch button to switch between radar working mode and app working mode. When activating radar working mode, the Min indicator light of the lowest gear in radar mode will light up in green. To increase the amount of fragrance released while in radar mode, the working gear can be adjusted through the app between Min - Max. When switching back to app mode, the app button will light up.
Fragrance Intensity Adjustment
Manual radar mode monitors the area within radar detection range for movement every five minutes. Somas will be in active scenting mode when movement is detected. If there is no activity for a full five minutes of scenting, the Somas machine enters into standby mode and continues monitoring for movement. Once movement is detected again, Somas will enter another active scenting period of 5 minutes. This time will be extended for as long as movement is detected without entering standby mode. When in manual radar mode, the Somas aromatherapy machine's level of fragrance intensity is factory set at minimum. To increase the scenting release, you will need to increase the parameters in the app. Once scheduled, the machine will continue to operate on the radar schedule you set until changed. If you find the fragrance to be too intense, please do not dilute fragrance oils as this may damage the machine. Instead, reduce the fragrance intensity through the machine if you find the intensity of the fragrance release that is preferable.
There are multiple fragrance intensity settings for manual radar mode scheduling through the app if the preset, minimum fragrance is not intense enough for you.:
Min: Detection population of one. The machine releases 10 seconds of scenting and then pauses for 300 seconds.
Low: To increase scenting to low, you will need to adjust the level within the app. Detection population of five. The machine releases 30 seconds of scenting and then pauses for 150 seconds.
Med:To increase scenting to medium, you will need to adjust the level within the app. Detection population of ten. The machine releases 60 seconds of scenting and then pauses for 120 seconds.
High: To increase scenting to high, you will need to adjust the level within the app. Detection population of twenty. The machine releases 90 seconds of scenting and then pauses for 90 seconds.
Max: To increase scenting to the maxium, you will need to adjust the level within the app. Detection population of fifty. The machine releases 100 seconds of scenting and then pauses for 30 seconds.
Radar Mode:
Unique Feature of Sanctuary Aromatherapy Machine
When in Radar mode, Fragrance & Fur's Sanctuary machine will automatically monitor for movement before emitting your favorite luxury fragrance from our collection. Radar mode is a great way to reserve fragrancing your pet shared space until pets or people are in the range of the radar. If there is no activity or movement detected for 5 minutes, Sanctuary will enter into standby mode until movement is detected again. As long as there is traffic that can be detected by the radar, Sanctuary will emit 10 seconds of fragrance release every 100 seconds until motion is no longer detected.
While in Radar Mode, if you prefer that Sanctuary emit more fragrance at each interval above the automatic setting, you are able to set the intensity of the fragrance release according to your preferences or number of people within the space with 5 additional individual intensity settings in the app.
Fragrance & Fur Tip: In our home, Sanctuary helps keep litterbox odors undetectable. It is wonderful to walk into our home after a long day of work and not be engulfed in the stench of kitty presents that have been left for us. With radar mode, it detects when Luna, our blue-eyed beauty, enters the room with the litterbox and Retreat activates to completely remove the odors while we are away. Thanks to Retreat, we are greeted with a refreshing, tranquil fragragrance and a happy kitty ready for snuggles.

Safety & Precautions
Installation Safety Measures: The following basic safety precautions should always be complied with to avoid injury, electrical shock, fire, property damage and any other situation that is danger related. Please use common sense at all times.
*Do not use an electrical outlet to power the aroma machine if the electrical outlet is damaged. Choose an outlet that is up to code and deemed electrically safe by a trained electrician and ensure the wall outlet is sturdy and secure in a well ventilated area.
*Install the aroma machine out of the reach of children and pets. Ensure the aroma machine atomizer with the oil bottle is locked at all times using the key provided to prevent tampering by children or pets. Do not allow children or pets to unplug the aroma machine. Do not allow children or pets to lick, chew, kick, squeeze, drop, scratch, bite, claw, or damage the machine in any way to prevent fire, injury, electrical shock, and other hazards.
*The aroma machine does not need to be tilted over. The fragrance oil will leak from the fragrance bottle if the machine is tilted or horizontal. Leaked fragrance oil can damage the machine causing it to no longer work if the machine is tilted or horizontal and oil leaks out. Fragrance oil can also damage the surrounding area, such as flooring, furniture, and drapery, and cause fire under certain circumstances. The machine should always be vertical. Install the machine vertically and keep the machine vertical at all times.
*Keep the aroma machine away from fire and heat sources. Do not use the machine in an area with flammable or explosive materials in the vicinity.
*The atomizer is corrosion resistant. The body of the machine is not corrosion resistant. While unplugged, gently wipe the body of the machine as needed with a damp cloth. Do not attempt to clean the machine while it is plugged into an electrical outlet. Do not submerge the machine in water or other liquid.
*Do not use the machine in high temperatures or wet environments.
*The machine is not for outdoor usage.
*Only use Fragrance & Fur aromatherapy oils. Don't mix the aroma oil with water. Do not use the machine to distribute any other liquid than the Fragrance & Fur aromatherapy oils.
*Don't block the aromatherapy machine opening with your hand or any other obstruction while the machine is in working mode. If you come into contact with the fragrance oil, use warm soapy water to remove the oil from the skin. If oil comes into contact with eyes, mucous membranes, or if it is ingested, call poison control or a medical specialist for treatment. Keep the oil away from children and pets and irresponsible people at all times.
*In extreme weather conditions, unplug the aromatherapy machine.
* Use common sense at all times to prevent fire, personal injury, property damage, electrical shock, and any other adverse event. Be safe at all times.

No Fragrance Released
Please check if the machine is completely and securely plugged into a power source and that the machine is turned on using the inside switch.
Please check to see if the nozzle is blocked. If the nozzle is blocked, please unblock it.
Please check the level of oil in the oil storage bottle. If it is low or empty, please add more oil.
Please check to make sure that the white pipe inside the oil bottle is not loose. If loose, push the pipe securely into the atomizer head.
Please check to ensure the pump is working. If the pump is not working, please contact customer service for a repair authorization.
Oil Leakage
Please check to ensure the oil bottle is tightened and secure inside the machine
Please check to see if the machine has been tilted over. The machine should stay vertical at all times. The machine will leak oil if tilted or horizontal.
If there is oil leakage from the mist outlet, check wheter there are obstacles in the mist outlet hole.
If you are unable to resolve the issue, please contact customer service for a repair authorization.
It is required that you clean the machine every 3 months or during fragrance changes.
Warranty and After-Sales Service
All Fragrance & Fur designed diffusers come with a 1-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty includes ongoing support with your diffuser as needed. If you have any questions or would like assistance with your diffuser please email us and we’ll gladly assist you.
Fragrance & Fur is proud to offer repairs, including all labor and parts, necessary to ensure your diffuser is in proper working condition during the warranty period. Note that repairs and exchanges are at the discretion of the Fragrance & Fur team. We are here to support you and your fragrance journey.
Our warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, defects in the atomizer core, air pump, and general manufacturing. We do not cover damage from third-party oils, improper use, neglect, or normal wear and tear. Fragrance & Fur will process qualified return and warranty requests upon contact and provide a Return Authorization number for your return, along with important instructions on how to return your product to us. Fragrance & Fur does not pay for or arrange return shipping and does not cover damage during shipment or lost shipments. It is recommended to ship your machine using a tracking number. Failure to follow these instructions, including the placement of your RMA number on the outer packaging of your repair shipment, may void our repair policy.
