The Vara combines simple functionality with an incredible style that will fit in the cup holder, door pocket, or any other stationary location in your vehicle that meets your needs. The best part? The Intelligent Motion Mode. When activated and while the car is in motion, the fragrance system works according to your set diffusion scenting preferences. When the car remains still for 90 seconds or more, the machine will automatically turn off for you, providing a completely hands free experience.

The Vara is a wireless, rechargeable, heatless, waterless aroma diffuser that works seamlessly with our Fragrance & Fur odor eliminating aromatherapy fragrance blends. We recognize that travel can cause anxiety. We provide the natural option of adding feline and/or canine pheromones to our aromatherapy fragrances to help reduce pet anxiety while traveling.

Unboxing Vara

We will walk you through unboxing Fragrance & Fur's Vara diffusion machine for the car so you can start eliminating lingering and new odors in your vehicle on demand.

1) The Vara arrives fully assembled. When opening the box, you will additionally be provided with a USB-C charge cord and replacement fragrance wicks.

2) Choose your favorite Fragrance & Fur diffusion oil fragrance. Remove the base to access the oil storage bottle. Twist the bottle to remove it from the atomizer head. The included fragrance oil storage bottle will hold up to 25ml of fragrance. Pour your chosen Fragrance & Fur fragrance oil into the bottle, not to exceed 25ml. When finished, assemble the machine to begin working.

*Do not mix the oil with water.

3) Choose the location of where you would like to place your Vara aromatherapy machine. It will fit in standard cup holders and other areas. It is important that the location you decide on doesn't allow the Vara to tilt or roll over to prevent oil leakage from the machine. Leaked fragrance oils may damage the interior of your vehicle. Vara should stay upright at all times.

4) Vara is operated manually using the two buttons on the machine to adjust time and frequency of fragrance release. There is also a motion mode that will activate the machine when motion is sensed and automatically stop scenting when motion is no longer sensed. Getting Started Vara: Product Manual

This guide will walk you through setting up Vara Aromatherapy Machine for the Car. Vara is a unique, rechargeable aromatherapy machine that can operate wirelessly once charged. It features Intelligent Motion Mode, a convenient feature that prevents you from forgetting to turn off your car's aromatherapy machine after stopping or exiting the car.

You will need to set up the refillable fragrance oil vessel to begin enjoying Fragrance & Fur's beautiful fragrances that eliminate pet odors with our plant-based odor eliminatiors. We do offer the option to add pet pheromones to our fragrances, which may help with pet anxiety on the road.

Step 1: Open the Machine

Hold the bottom of the machine with your hand and rotate the diffuser counterclockwise with your other hand to access the interior fragrance reservoir.

Step 2: Remove the Fragrance Reservoir from the Machine

Hold the fragrance reservoir in one hand and rate the diffuser clockwise to remove the reservoir

Step 3: Add Fragrance

Remove the cotton wick from the reservoir and fill the reservoir with your favorite Fragrance & Fur scent. Place the cotton wick back in the reservoir and screw the reservoir and base back into the atomizer.

Step 4: Charge the Machine.

Using the supplied USB-C cable, charge the machine for it to begin working by connecting the cable to the charging port. The machine will work while being connected to a power source. Once charged, the machine will work wirelessly.

WARNINGS:

Once the fragrance oil of your choice has been installed in the machine, please ensure that the machine stays upright at all times. Failure to keep the machine upright may result in oil leakage and permanent damage to th machine. Fragrance oils can also damage your vehicle's interior.
Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not use the machine when temps are 50C+ or less than 10C. Please turn the power switch off when changing oil

Don't modify or disassemble the machine.

Manual Fragrance Settings & Turning the Machine On/Off

Default Mode: When the machine is connected to a power source or if operating wirelessly after charging, you will need to press the "O" button to turn the machine on. It will automatically default to a 0.6 second fragrance release with a 120 second pause between cycles.

This time is adjustable according to your preferences.

To increase the amount of fragrance release, press the "O" button again to increase the fragrance release time to 0.9 with a 120 second pause between cycles.

The fragrance cycle can be increased again by pressing the "O" button a third time for a 1.2 second misting cycle with a 120 second pause between cycles.

To turn the machine off, press the "O" button until there are no lights indicating a working cycle to the left of the "O" button.

Manual Timer Modes

Once the diffuser has been turned on, you are able to select a working period of 1 hour, 2 hours, or 4 hours. There is an indicator light to confirm the manual time period selected.

Intelligent Motion Mode

Motion Mode is a unique feature that allows the Vara aromatherapy machine to only operate when the Vara machine senses the vehicle being driven at a speed greater than 5mph. We love this feature! There is no wondering if you remembered to turn the machine off when you exited the vehicle or wasting of fragrance. Scenting is simple with Motion Mode.

To activate Motion Mode, Press the "H" button for 2 seconds. The light of the "H" button will begin to pulse and the blue light of the timer will remain on throughout. You have officially entered Motion Mode. Yes, its that simple. You are able to select the fragrance intensity of your choice just as with manual mode by pushing the "O" button according to your preferences.

When the car stops, it will enter the sleep state after 90 seconds. When the car is moving again over 5mph, the motion mode will enter working mode again.

Help & Troubleshooting

Please check if the machine is completely and securely plugged into a power source and that the machine is turned on using the inside switch.
Please check to see if the nozzle is blocked. If the nozzle is blocked, please unblock it.
Please check the level of oil in the oil storage bottle. If it is low or empty, please add more oil.
Please check to make sure that the white pipe inside the oil bottle is not loose. If loose, push the pipe securely into the atomizer head.
Please clean the machine by running a cycle of alcohol through the machine at the highest intensity for 15 minutes.
Please check to ensure the pump is working. If the pump is not working, please contact customer service for a repair authorization if it is a manufacturer issue and not a normal wear and tear issue.

Please check to ensure the oil bottle is tightened and secure inside the machine
Please check to see if the machine has been tilted over. The machine should stay vertical at all times. The machine will leak oil if tilted or horizontal.
If there is oil leakage from the mist outlet, check whether there are obstacles in the mist outlet hole.
If you are unable to resolve the issue, please contact customer service for a repair authorization.
It is required that you clean the machine every 3 months or during fragrance changes.

All Fragrance & Fur designed diffusers come with a 1-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty includes ongoing support with your diffuser as needed. If you have any questions or would like assistance with your diffuser please email us and we’ll gladly assist you.

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, defects in the atomizer core, air pump, and general manufacturing. We do not cover damage from third-party oils, improper use, neglect, or normal wear and tear. Fragrance & Fur will process qualified return and warranty requests upon contact and provide a Return Authorization number for your return, along with important instructions on how to return your product to us. Fragrance & Fur does not pay for or arrange return shipping and does not cover damage during shipment or lost shipments. It is recommended to ship your machine using a tracking number. Failure to follow these instructions, including the placement of your RMA number on the outer packaging of your repair shipment, may void our repair policy.

Fragrance & Fur is proud to offer repairs necessary to ensure your diffuser is in proper working condition during the warranty period. Note that repairs and replacements are at the discretion of the Fragrance & Fur team. We are here to support you and your fragrance journey and are happy provide technical support even after the warranty period to ensure you are able to scent your space with minimal downtime.

Clean the machine every 1-2 months.
Empty the diffuser oil bottle and fill with rubbing alcohol
Allow the machine to run at the highest intensity for 10-15 minutes to remove any residue.
When finished, wipe down with a microfiber cloth
Empty any remaining rubbing alcohol from the oil bottle and allow it to air dry.
Refill the oil bottle with your favorite Fragrance & Fur scent and enjoy freshness again and again.

Installation Safety Measures: The following basic safety precautions should always be complied with to avoid injury, electrical shock, fire, property damage and any other situation that is danger related. Please use common sense at all times.
Do not use an electrical outlet to power the aroma machine if the electrical outlet is damaged. Choose an outlet that is up to code and deemed electrically safe by a trained electrician and ensure the wall outlet is sturdy and secure in a well ventilated area.
Install the aroma machine out of the reach of children and pets. Ensure the aroma machine atomizer with the oil bottle is locked at all times using the key provided to prevent tampering by children or pets. Do not allow children or pets to unplug the aroma machine. Do not allow children or pets to lick, chew, kick, squeeze, drop, scratch, bite, claw, or damage the machine in any way to prevent fire, injury, electrical shock, and other hazards.
The aroma machine does not need to be tilted over. The fragrance oil will leak from the fragrance bottle if the machine is tilted or horizontal. Leaked fragrance oil can damage the machine causing it to no longer work if the machine is tilted or horizontal and oil leaks out. Fragrance oil can also damage the surrounding area, such as flooring, furniture, and drapery, and cause fire under certain circumstances. The machine should always be vertical. Install the machine vertically and keep the machine vertical at all times.
Keep the aroma machine away from fire and heat sources. Do not use the machine in an area with flammable or explosive materials in the vicinity.
The atomizer is corrosion resistant. The body of the machine is not corrosion resistant. While unplugged, gently wipe the body of the machine as needed with a damp cloth. Do not attempt to clean the machine while it is plugged into an electrical outlet. Do not submerge the machine in water or other liquid.
Do not use the machine in high temperatures or wet environments.
The machine is not for outdoor usage.
Only use Fragrance & Fur aromatherapy oils. Don't mix the aroma oil with water. Do not use the machine to distribute any other liquid than the Fragrance & Fur aromatherapy oils.
Don't block the aromatherapy machine opening with your hand or any other obstruction while the machine is in working mode. If you come into contact with the fragrance oil, use warm soapy water to remove the oil from the skin. If oil comes into contact with eyes, mucous membranes, or if it is ingested, call poison control or a medical specialist for treatment. Keep the oil away from children and pets and irresponsible people at all times.
In extreme weather conditions, unplug the aromatherapy machine.
Use common sense at all times to prevent fire, personal injury, property damage, electrical shock, and any other adverse event. Be safe at all times.

No, water is not needed. Fragrance & Fur diffusers use waterless cold-air diffusion to distribute fragrance through the room without water or heat. All aromatherapy oils are pure fragrance oil blends made from therapeutic-grade essential oils, natural botanicals, and fine fragrances. Oil and water do not mix and may damage your diffuser.
Yes, you can absolutely use diffusers throughout every day. For the most benefits, we encourage you to use it daily for 4-8 hours or more, if preferred. The odor elimination technology and pheromones, should you choose to incorporate them, will not perform as advertised if you scent infrequently. Despite running for several hours a day, the oil usage level remains very low. Fragrance & Fur diffusers and aromatherapy oils are designed for daily fragrance routines.

In our atelier, we alternate fragrances throughout the day. We start with fragrances from The Morning Ritual: Awaken Collection to initiate the workday. In the afternoon, we switch to The Restorative Ritual: Soothe collection fragrances to help with workday stresses. At the close, we switch to The Release Ritual: Clarity fragrance collection to support mindfulness and meditation practices for a gentle close.
Only through consistent, daily operation will you experience the full range of benefits our fragrance, odor eliminating technology, and optional pet pheromones deliver. For optimal performance, we recommend daily operation of a minimum of 4-8 hours. Consistent daily programs are best. Consistent usage is essential for our odor elimination technology and optional pheromone features to function as specified. Despite extended operational periods, oil consumption remains surprisingly minimal.
All Fragrance & Fur aromatherapy oils have been developed to inspire moments of calming serenity for both people and pets. If you're unsure where to begin, start with our discovery kits. We are certain that your perfect fragrance is within our collection. We do provide the option to purchase a fragrance sample with every oil purchase for you to do a simple test to see if you like it prior to opening the retail bottle. However, because our fragrance oils are complimentary with our bundle packages, we do not offer the option of fragrance testers with bundle packages.
We have tested our fragrances to ensure consistent, positive responses overall. However, scent is very personal and we look forward to discovering what scent is your trademark. When an oil is unpackaged, the normal response is to immediately smell the fragrance directly in the bottle. A diffused fragrance smells different that one smelled directly from the bottle. Please try the fragrance in your diffuser and let it permeate the room and allow the fragrance to breathe. Notice how the fragrance opens, settles, and becomes part of the room. Let it live with you for a few days. Fragrances can feel different as the day shifts. After testing your chosen fragrance, if it is not the right one for you, we encourage you to consider our sample kit to find your personal scent. Many customers have chosen to subscribe to multiple scents, building a personal library of fragrances over time. Multiple scents allow you to tailor room scenting to use based on the mood, each one finding its place and time. All of our fragrances exceed strict VOC and inhalation regulatory standards. We do recommend introducing a new fragrance gradually to ensure it is a pleasant experience for both you and your pets.

To change fragrances and remove prior remaining fragrance oil from the aroma machine fragrance bottle, you will need to run a quick cleaning cycle with isopropyl alcohol or high-proof grain alcohol, such as Everclear.

Steps to Remove Old Fragrance

Empty the Old Oil from the Machine's Fragrance Oil Bottle: Remove the current fragrance bottle from the machine and remove the atomizer head from the bottle. Pour any remaining leftover oil back into its original Fragrance & Fur bottle for future usage if you wish to save it, or properly dispose of it if you do not wish to retain the fragrance oil. Clean the bottle with soap and water and allow it to fully dry or use Isopropyl Alcohol or a High-Proof Grain Alcohol such as Everclear to clean the bottle until there is no remaining oil residue. Allow the bottle to fully dry.
Prepare for the Cleaning Cycle: Add Isopropyl Alcohol or a High-Proof Grain Alcohol such as Everclear to the fragrance oil bottle until the bottle is approximately 1/2 full. Replace the atomizer head on the bottle and twist until secure. Then insert into bottle with secured atomizer into the machine using instructions from the owner's manual.
Run a Cleaning Cycle: Once the alcohol filled bottle and atomizer is fully secure in the machine, turn on the machine and allow it to run for 15-20 minutes (or up to one hour if the previous scent was very strong or if the nozzel is slightly sticky). This allows the alchohol to circulate through the internal atomozing notzzel and break down any lingering oil residue.
Wipe and Clear: Turn off the machine and unplug the machine and remove any charging cords. Remove the fragrance oil bottle and remove the atomizer head. Pour any remaining alcohol out of the bottle and allow any remaining liquid to fully evaporate or wipe down the accessible parts with a microfiber cloth.
Add the New Fragrance: Pour the new fragrance into the fragrance oil bottle. Do not exceed the maximum amount of oil the bottle will hold. Replace the atomizer head on the bottle and twist to secure and place back in the machine by using the owner manual instructions.
